Methodist Church Mourns Passing of Rev Kumire’s Wife

MASVINGO — The Methodist Church in Zimbabwe is mourning the passing of Mrs. Theressa Kumire, the beloved wife of Reverend M. Kumire of the Masvingo North Circuit.

According to a statement issued by Rev. V.T. Chidzambwa, the Masvingo District Synod Secretary, Mrs. Kumire passed away in Bulawayo on Tuesday afternoon after a short illness.

“It is with a very sad heart that I announce the passing on of Mrs. Theressa Kumire, wife to Rev. M. Kumire (Masvingo North Circuit). She passed on this afternoon in Bulawayo after a short illness. It’s a sad moment for the church,” Rev. Chidzambwa said.

He urged the Methodist family to stand in prayer with the Kumire family and the Masvingo North Circuit during this difficult time.

The late Mrs. Kumire will be laid to rest in Bulawayo on Saturday.

Rev. Chidzambwa extended condolences on behalf of the Masvingo District and the broader Methodist community, describing the loss as a heavy blow to the church family.
