Faith Leaders To Spotlight Mining Justice At 5th African Business and Human Rights Forum

 

The 5th African Business and Human Rights Forum kicks off next week, with faith actors set to take centre stage on mining accountability.

Organisers have announced a side session titled _“The Moral Compass of Mining: Faith, Justice and Environmental Rights in Africa’s Mining Sector”_ that will unpack the human and environmental impacts of mining across the continent.

The session is expected to bring together church leaders, justice advocates and environmental defenders for a vibrant conversation on how Africa’s mineral wealth can be governed more justly.

Participants are invited to engage, connect and inspire action towards rights-based mining practices.

The event is convened in partnership with the Zimbabwe Council of Churches, All Africa Conference of Churches, FECCLAHA and Guro Almås.
