1 Chronicles 20:8 These were born to the giant in Gath, and they fell by the hand of David and by the hand of his servants.
We all know the story of how David defeated Goliath the Philistine giant. Here we find that other giants came against him and his men later on and God remained faithful by giving them victory.
Many times the devil rises against us and tries many different ways to defeat us. Let us be steadfast and courageous in the knowledge that our God fights for us. It is He who gives us strength to continue on the path of victory. Even when it seems as though the tide has risen against us, the Lord lifts a higher standard against our enemies.
Enemies of our souls will continue to rise up against us. Let us not become weary. We must strengthen ourselves in the Lord. He supports us with His righteous right hand so that we can continue on this spiritual journey He has set for us. Jesus obtained victory for us so we are assured of a good end.
Prayer - Your word confirms that 'better is the end of a thing than its beginning'. Help me to persevere till the end so that I can fight a good fight of faith until I receive my reward in heaven, Amen.
