God Almighty Makes A New Way...
DAILY DEVOTIONS MCZ MISSION DEPARTMENT
Making a New Way
God's message to His people is clear: "Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old." It's easy to get stuck in the past, letting wounds, regrets, or failures define us. But dwelling on the past only holds us back. God is calling us to move forward, to trust in His power and faithfulness.
In a world plagued by corruption, disaster, and division, it's hard to find hope. But God is doing a new thing, making a way where there seems to be no way. He's creating paths through our problems and shining light in the darkness.
Never underestimate God's transformative power. He can step into your situation and make things new. He can unravel the mess, turn things around, and restore your life. God's power is not limited by our circumstances; He can renew and restore even the most complex issues.
As you face challenges and uncertainties, remember that God is at work. He's making a new way, bringing blessings, and teaching valuable life lessons. Trust in His goodness, and let go of the past. God is doing a new thing in your life, and it's going to be amazing!

Prophet Inzwirashe Matema Receives Brand New Car from Wicknell Chivayo
Prominent businessman and philanthropist Wicknell Chivayo has gifted a brand-new vehicle to Prophet Inzwirashe Matema in recognition of his dedication to street ministry and spreading the gospel in unconventional ways.
Chivayo made the announcement on Thursday, praising the humility and commitment of the Masowe church leader. He emphasized that true service to God is not defined by grandeur but by sincerity and selflessness.
“I have come to realize that the humility of mankind is the highest honour and exaltation of God,” said Chivayo. “Sekwedu ku Masowe, it may often appear as if chinamato chedu chakasvoreka simply because we remove our shoes and worship in open spaces, but that's exactly where the Holy Spirit manifests and meets us at our time of need.”
He further underscored that spiritual leadership is about authenticity, not status: “It is not the glamour of the pulpit that matters, but the willingness to remain grounded in prayer and faithful to God’s call. The Holy Spirit is not impressed by titles or positions, but by those who kneel in the dust and lift His name above their own.”
Chivayo lauded Prophet Matema for taking the gospel to the streets and engaging directly with everyday people. “This is why I hold in very high respect men of God who choose to preach in the streets and convert the ordinary people from all walks of life,” he said. “Today I want to recognize Prophet Inzwirashe Matema, a great preacher who has chosen the streets to be his altar, ordinary people roaming in town as his congregation, and the truth as his only weapon.”
In recognition of this commitment, Chivayo announced a generous gift: “So today, Prophet Inzwirashe Matema, I say congratulations. In recognition of your humble service, please go and see Victor at Exquisite Motors and collect your brand-new 2025 Toyota Fortuner 2.4 GD6, that is now fully paid for and ready for collection. In addition, you will receive USD50,000 in cash to support your ministry to extend the gospel to even greater heights.”
Chivayo concluded his statement with a message of encouragement: “May this small token strengthen your hands and lengthen your reach, for the harvest is ready and the Master is pleased. God bless you.”

Teen Rescue Mission Director Champions Marathon and Pad Me Drive for Girls’ Safety
Staff Writer
The Teen Rescue Mission Director, recently appointed to the **HeForShe Committee** by the Canadian Ambassador, is set to lead a unique initiative combining a marathon with the **Pad Me Drive** campaign.
The event, which will mark the **International Day of the Girl Child on October 11, 2025**, is a direct response to the rising cases of sexual abuse against the girl child in Zimbabwe. It aims to raise awareness, promote protection, and ensure that girls have the resources and safe spaces they need to thrive.
By blending sport with advocacy, the initiative seeks to engage communities in both physical action and social responsibility. The **Pad Me Drive** will also provide essential sanitary supplies to vulnerable girls, reinforcing the message that dignity and safety are non-negotiable rights.
Organisers are calling on the public to be part of the movement and stand in solidarity with girls across the country.

Faith in Action: ZCC and Canada Partner to Build Resilient Communities...
By Staff Writer
The Zimbabwe Council of Churches (ZCC), through its Director of Humanitarian Services and Diakonia, Ms. Maria Tendai Dendere, recently held a fruitful engagement with the Canadian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, HE Mr. Adler Aristilde, at the Canadian Embassy in Harare.
The meeting highlighted ZCC’s ongoing mission work, particularly the three-year Scaling Up Resilience Program being carried out in Gutu and Bikita districts. Rooted in the Christian call to be stewards of creation and to care for the vulnerable, the program is transforming lives through climate-smart agriculture, gender equality, disaster risk reduction, and diversified livelihoods.
Canada has remained a faithful partner of ZCC, with platforms such as the Canadian Day celebrations strengthening not only diplomatic ties but also shared values of inclusivity, compassion, and justice. The Ambassador praised ZCC’s unwavering commitment to resilience and development, commending its strong approach to gender inclusion—a principle that mirrors the biblical vision of equality and dignity for all.
Together, ZCC and its partners continue to walk with communities in Zimbabwe, guided by the love of Christ, to build resilience, empower women, and nurture hope for a sustainable future.
