The Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe (EFZ) on Wednesday honoured its President, Bishop Never Muparutsa, and Minister Sekai Muparutsa for their outstanding leadership and contribution to the success of the ongoing Genius of One Conference in Harare.
The recognition took place shortly after the conference’s lunch break, where the Genius of One team presented both leaders with official certificates and badges in appreciation of their role in promoting unity and excellence in ministry.
In a statement shared by EFZ, the organisation described the moment as a highlight of the conference. “A special moment this afternoon! After our lunch break, we witnessed the honoring of EFZ President Bishop Never and Minister Sekai Muparutsa as the Genius of One team presented them with official Certificates and Badges,” read part of the statement.
The recognition, according to organisers, was given “for their invaluable participation and significant contributions that have helped make this conference an undeniable success.”
Speaking after receiving the award, Bishop Muparutsa expressed gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed EFZ’s commitment to fostering unity within the body of Christ. “This honour is not about individuals—it’s about collective ministry. The vision of ‘echad,’ which means unity, reminds us that we are stronger together in Christ,” he said.
Minister Sekai Muparutsa also thanked the Genius of One team, describing the initiative as “a powerful reminder of the importance of collaboration and humility in ministry.”
The Genius of One Conference, which has drawn church leaders and believers from across Zimbabwe and beyond, aims to strengthen partnerships among Christian ministries under the theme of unity and shared purpose.
