The Zimbabwe Council of Churches (ZCC) took an active role in the Africa Human Rights Day 2025 commemorations on Wednesday.
At Africa Unity Square in Harare, ZCC set up a Mobile Information Hub to engage the public alongside the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission, which is leading discussions during the event.
Visitors were encouraged to learn more about ZCC’s ongoing work on reparative justice, reflecting this year’s theme, “Justice for Africans and People of African Descent Through Reparations.”
Attendees also had the opportunity to explore and receive copies of ZCC’s recently launched publication, Understanding Reparative Justice Research, as well as other resources that highlight the Council’s faith-based commitment to a united, peaceful, just, and prosperous Zimbabwe.
ZCC invited all members of the community to visit the hub, learn, and participate in discussions aimed at advancing human rights and justice in the country.
The Council’s participation was supported by partners including Christian Aid, Brot für die Welt, NCA – Advocacy Programme for Africa, The Herald-Zimbabwe, Communitypodium, and the World Council of Churches.
