Serving with Purpose: Zimbabwe Council of Churches Empowers Young People...

The Zimbabwe Council of Churches (ZCC) is taking proactive steps to empower the country's youth through its Accelerated Ecumenical Interventions for the Reduction of Risky Flight program. Recently, the organization conducted a transformative vocational and economic empowerment training in several districts, equipping 84 young people with life-changing skills.

The training covered various areas, including:

- Entrepreneurship

- Practical detergents making

- Financial literacy

- Vocational trades such as welding, sewing, plumbing, and cosmetology

By providing vocational training, the ZCC aims to open doors to economic independence, innovation, and stable livelihoods for Zimbabwe's youth. This initiative is particularly crucial in an environment where formal jobs can be scarce.

The ZCC's efforts are geared towards addressing the risks associated with irregular migration. By equipping young people with the right skills and support, the organization believes that they can build a prosperous future and contribute significantly to the nation's growth.

*Key Highlights of the Program:*

- Equipping youth with vocational skills to enhance employability and entrepreneurship

- Providing mentorship and support to foster economic independence

- Encouraging young people to build a future in Zimbabwe rather than seeking opportunities abroad

- Fostering community development through faith-based initiatives

The ZCC's commitment to empowering Zimbabwe's youth is evident in its efforts to provide vocational training and economic empowerment. By doing so, the organization is helping to build a brighter future for the country's young people and contributing to the nation's growth and development.
