Luke 11:5,8
[5]And He said to them, “Which of you shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight and say to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves;......[8]I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs.
The bible teaches us persistence in prayer. We must not lose heart but persist in pertitioning God for what we need. The more we seek, knock and ask; is the more we bring heaven to unfold and pour abundant blessings over us. The key to prayer is in consistency and faith in the ability of God to bring to pass what we desire.
It is also important to demonstrate our resolve to stand without wavering until we receive answers. We are encouraged to wait upon the Lord by being alert and positive in our outlook. It is important to refuse to allow despair to creep in, remaining vigilant and being full of thanksgiving and praise in our hearts. Wait upon the Lord while you pray and hope, truly believing without a doubt that God is able to fulfill His promises over us.
Prayer
Lord, I look to you in hope and faith. I persist in prayer because you promised that if we pray without ceasing, you hear us. Amen.
