SHOUT EVEN LOUDER!
"Be quiet!" the crowd yelled at them. But they shouted louder, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!" When Jesus heard them, he stopped and called, What do you want me to do for you? "Lord, we want to see." Jesus felt sorry for them and touched their eyes, instantly they could see! Then they followed him. (Matthew 20:31-33)
The two men were blind. When they heard that Jesus was passing by they began to shout for his attention.
Some people who had nothing to do with Jesus were bothered by the shouting. Others who were with him were equally annoyed by the shouting and so they yelled back at the blind men, with the intention to silence them. Instead of being deterred the blind men began to shout even louder.
A life time opportunity had presented itself and someone wanted that opportunity to just pass by. The blind men would not allow that.
Fortune, knocks only once at a man's door. It even rarely knocks at blind men's doors.
Some people want you to miss your life time opportunity. Take note dear friend; the blind men were being silenced by those who could see. It is those who see who do not want you to see.
It is those in marriages who discourage you from getting married. They want you to remain blind, while they see all about and enjoy life. Ramba kunyararidzwa nevanazvo mudikani!
On his way to Jerusalem, Jesus may be hearing many calls but, he will pay particular attention to the call, "Lord, son of David, have mercy on me!" He will stop and not allow anyone to stop him from giving you the miracle you have cried for. Shout! Cry out! Jesus wants to know your need. Refuse to be silenced! Jesus is ready to satisfy your heart's desire. Stand up and follow the one who gives you sight for the life journey.
Amen!
