Hosea 4:6
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."
Hosea was a prophet sent to warn Israel during a time of spiritual decay.
The priests and people had abandoned God’s Word and embraced sin.
God says: “My people are destroyed — not because of enemies, but because of lack of knowledge.”
Not just education or information but the knowledge of God.
Proverbs 1:7 — “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.”
When people reject God’s Word, truth fades, and destruction follows.
The verse continues:“Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you.”
Ignorance of God’s ways leads to:
Moral collapse,
Broken families,
Spiritual blindness and
Loss of divine protection.
Many today are perishing in sin, fear, poverty, and confusion — not because God has failed, but because His people have neglected His Word.
Churches must teach sound doctrine. Christians must read, study, and live the Word of God.
2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to show yourself approved unto God… rightly dividing the word of truth.- John 8:32 — “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
Freedom, victory, and life comes through knowing God and His truth.Are you perishing in areas of your life because of lack of knowledge? Return to God’s Word. Seek His truth. Let your life be built on His wisdom.
