*✝ Exodus 8:28*
"And Pharaoh said, I will let you go, that ye may sacrifice to the LORD your God in the wilderness; only ye shall not go very far away: entreat for me."
God had sent Moses to command Pharaoh: “Let my people go.”Pharaoh resisted but after pressure from plagues, he begins to offer compromises
In this verse, Pharaoh says “You can go worship… but don’t go too far.”
The enemy’s wants people to compromise.
Pharaoh represents Satan who doesn’t mind partial obedience, as long as you don’t fully surrender to God. He says,“You can go to church… but don’t leave your old ways.” “Pray… but don’t become too committed.”
“Serve God… but don’t separate from sin.”Beware that compromise looks like freedom but still keeps you under control.
Remember that God Demands full Obedience God’s call was clear: total separation on from Egypt (the world system).
You can’t worship God in Egypt you must come out.
True worship requires distance from bondage, sin, and compromise.
2 Corinthians 6:17“Come out from among them and be ye separate…”Don’t stay close to what God delivered you from.Pharaoh said, “Don’t go very far…”
Many Christians want to follow God but still stay close to past habits or ungodly relationships.
Freedom in Christ means breaking away completely and not looking back like Lot’s wife.
Pharaoh wanted blessings (Moses to pray for him) but didn’t want to surrender to God. Many want God’s help, but not His rule.
God wants our hearts not just our request
Don’t accept what Pharaoh(satan) wants us do ,not even to make a compromise.
Go all the way with God. Don’t stay near Egypt when God has called you to the promised land.y
Choose full deliverance, full obedience, and full surrender.May God help us to do the right thing when time is still on us.
