Staff Writer- The Zimbabwe Council of Churches delegation

was in Kenya last week for a high-level gathering aimed at strengthening faith-based advocacy across Africa.

ZCC took part in the Norwegian Church Aid Advocacy Programme Africa Partner Learning and Reflections Meeting, held in Nairobi. The 5-day forum brought together NAPA partners to review progress, share lessons, and map out coordinated action.

According to organizers, the meeting was designed to deepen evidence-based work, improve results tracking, and explore new areas for collaboration among church and civil society groups.

ZCC led one of the peer-learning sessions where it presented its experiences, achievements, setbacks, and key takeaways from work on the ground in Zimbabwe. The session was aimed at encouraging practical dialogue and mutual learning among partners.

A major focus of the talks was advocacy. Delegates worked to sharpen thematic priorities, identify joint campaign opportunities, and agree on collective commitments to influence policy.

The gathering wrapped up with a joint action plan, with partners pledging specific follow-up steps to turn research and learning into real impact in their communities.

Through the engagement, ZCC said it remains committed to using evidence, shared learning, and united advocacy to drive sustainable change.
