Prosper in all
3 John 1:2
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
To prosper is to flourish or to do well. Doing well or flourishing is multidimensional in nature. Hence our concern for people should also be multidimensional. We should be concerned about all aspects of their health including physical, spiritual, financial and emotional. This goes for ourselves as well. We all function better and are better people when our health is wholesome.
The world has sold us the counterfeit prosperity which says that we only need to do well financially. But the reality is any unbalanced prosperity leads to serious issues like health and relationship issues.
As we grow spiritually, we must take care of our physical being. Our bodies are the temple of God and need caring. We also need to take care of our emotions as neglect can lead to serious mental health issues. We do not have to be strong in every situation. Our God is strong for us in our times of weakness. We accept our frailities and surrender to the Lord.
As our soul prospereth let us remember that all dimensions of our being need to prosper as well. God bless
