The Zimbabwe Council of Churches (ZCC) has commended the compassionate efforts of its Women Ecumenical Fellowships (WEFs) in Beitbridge and Rusape, who carried out remarkable acts of charity last week.
In Beitbridge, the WEFs extended a helping hand to children with special needs at Beitbridge Mission, donating groceries to improve their daily living conditions. Over in Rusape, the women demonstrated the same spirit of love and solidarity by donating groceries to the Rusape Old People’s Home, offering much-needed support and encouragement to both the elderly and their caregivers.
These charitable acts, the ZCC said, embody the church’s vision inspired by Jesus’ prayer in John 17:21 — “that they may all be one.” The organisation emphasised that such gestures reflect its ongoing mission to promote unity, compassion, and the holistic well-being of communities across Zimbabwe.
