The Zimbabwe Council of Churches (ZCC) Bulawayo Province Youth Ecumenical Fellowships (YEFs) held a vibrant Sports Gala at St. Columbus High School over the weekend, bringing together young people under the theme of unity, awareness, and positive living.
The event used the power of sport as a tool to combat drug and substance abuse, highlighting the urgent need to protect and empower young people from the dangers of addiction.
ZCC Bulawayo YEF partnered with Econet Zimbabwe, the National AIDS Council (NAC), Uthando Trust, Baker’s Inn, and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Zimbabwe Gender Desk, among others, to deliver the message of hope and resilience.
Through football, netball, and other sporting activities, participants not only showcased talent but also engaged in conversations promoting healthy lifestyles, youth leadership, and community transformation.
The initiative is part of a broader campaign to encourage young people to embrace sobriety, champion leadership development, and foster a culture of responsibility and care
