Faith in Action: Zimbabwe Council of Churches and Australian Partners Bring Hope to Chimanimani

In a powerful demonstration of faith-inspired service, the Zimbabwe Council of Churches (ZCC), in strategic partnership with Australian Aid and Act for Peace, has successfully completed a humanitarian project under the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP). Funded by the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), the initiative focused on enhancing water access and protecting the dignity and safety of women and girls in Cyclone Idai-affected communities in Chimanimani.

The celebration marked the culmination of a mission that brought practical solutions and renewed hope to internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities. Guided by the Christian call to serve the vulnerable, ZCC and its partners acted with compassion and resilience, ensuring that the needs of the most marginalized were not forgotten.

This collaboration stands as a testament to what can be achieved when faith, international solidarity, and local commitment come together to uplift communities in crisis.
