Thursday showers of blessings come from Philippians 4:12-14 "I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles."
Paul is revealing his secret of contentment and urges us that it is important to be content in all situations. The secret is CHRIST who enables him to be content. Without CHRIST in the equation, it is difficult to impossible to be content because by nature we are not content. Paul tells that it is important to rely on GOD'S strength even where other people are ready to help you during difficult times. Self-introspection: how content are you? Let's pray and ask GOD to enable us through CHRIST to be content, so that we can testify like Paul. Amen.
