Thursday showers of blessings come from Philippians 3:13-14 "13. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
Paul refused to get burdened down under the weight of past memories of failure. Therefore, he applied a principle of forgetting his failures and pursue the future. No one can change the past but you can change the future. He keep his focus to win the heavenward goal. Hebrews 12:1-2 echoes the same revelation: Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on JESUS, the Pioneer and Perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him HE endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of GOD. It is my prayer that you are ever looking forward and never be distracted, discouraged and demoralised with past failures. The devil distract our focus by bringing to thought our failures. Never entertain such thoughts, you are forgiven by grace. Amen..
Blessings and Shalom
