Reaching Out To "Gentiles"

Reverend N Murambadoro

Showers of blessings

Acts 11:1-3 "Soon the news reached the apostles and other believers in Judea that the Gentiles had received the word of God. But when Peter arrived back in Jerusalem, the Jewish believers criticized him.

“You entered the home of Gentiles and even ate with them!” they said."

Peter served GOD'S Will in Judea. Many Gentile people got saved. News went all over. Brethren in Jerusalem received the Good News.

Surprisingly, they did not embrace the Good News, rather, they found fault in Peter. They criticized him for being in among the Gentiles and even are with them.

They did not look into what was important thus the salvation of people but looked at small religious things.

This narrative teaches us a lot of things. It is not always when you do great things in the Eyes of GOD that people will clap hands for you. It is a human nature to turn a blind eye to great things and focus on negatives things. Brethren in Jerusalem gave Peter hard time. It is also important that, when you are  a victim of such a circumstance, be positive and explain to people where they seem to misunderstand  and misinterpret. When things like that happens to you, remain positive and do the will of GOD.

Don't be discouraged with criticisms,  don't give up, people will always find fault in you no matter what but you have to be determined to do the right thing with joy. Amen.
