"PRIDE GOES BEFORE A FALL"

Proverbs 16:18; "Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall."

It is difficult to tell when some people are proud. Because pride is of the heart. Only God's Word can diagnose pride in a person's heart.

 Meditate on God's Word. It x-rays your heart to reveal what is there. If there is pride or something that isn't right,  the Word will reveal it. (Hebrews 4:12). God's Word discerns the thoughts of the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7 says, ..."man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart."

 Study the Scripture and see what's described as pride; behaviors that God referred to as pride and expressions of pride. (2 Chronicles 26:16;32:25; Ezekiel 28:5,17).

 A proud look(Proverbs 6:17;21:4). God says these are sin. You must fight to remain humble. Use gracious and loving words on people. You should emulate Jesus. (Philippians 2:5-8). Receive God's Word into your spirit and let it transform your life. The humility of Christ should be evident in your thoughts,  actions and communication.
