Matthew 24:35; "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."
There are people who work for the Lord, giving their time, energy, resources and they begin to think it's not yielding any results in their lives. They look at their lives and think they are not making progress. You should never allow those thoughts to enter your heart.
The results of your labor of love may not be obvious to you, but other people are being impacted by it. Many prophets didn't see the results of their prophecies.
Many people thought the prophecies of the prophets were false. Because some of the prophets lived and died and their prophecies were not fulfilled. The truth is that some of those prophets were not speaking of their days. Acts 2:17; "And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:" Those who were alive at this time, didn't know what the last days were.
They may have considered Joel's prophecy as false. But that prophecy was fulfilled. Acts 2;1-4 says that the apostles were all sitting in one place, in one accord and suddenly there was a sound from heaven as a mighty wind and it filled all the house where they were sitting and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost. It was many years before the prophecy came to pass.
The Spirit alerted Peter, who confirmed it. (Acts 2:16). You must never think your service in the Lord and the Gospel is worthless. The results are there.
Those you have yet to see will happen. Remain focused and fervent serving the Lord. His Word is forevermore and true and never fails. His Word is settled in heaven forever.
Hallelujah!!!
