Showers of blessings - Galatians 2:11-14
"But when Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned.
For before certain men came from James, he was eating with the Gentiles; but when they came he drew back and separated himself, fearing the circumcision party. And the rest of the Jews acted hypocritically along with him, so that even Barnabas was led astray by their hypocrisy. But when I saw that their conduct was not in step with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas before them all, “If you, though a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you force the Gentiles to live like Jews?”
What we read from this passage is that:
Peter was afraid of certain Jews, so he acted in fear and as a result of his action, a lot of his followers got confused and were led into hypocrisy too.
But Paul was an Apostle of CHRIST who portrayed a good character of integrity.
He confronted things which were not right among his coworkers, he rebuked sin, he condemned bad behaviour, he corrected the wrong before it corrupted other innocent people.
He demonstrated good leadership. He was honest with the reality of matters. He was not ashamed to speak out the truth even to his leaders.
What I have learnt here in this passage, I am also praying for the HOLY SPIRIT to enable you to demonstrate this Pauline character. Our Church gathering are sometimes full of people who can't confront the wrong.
We fail to demonstrate our call as watchman Ezekiel 33:1-11. I pray that the LORD raises honest man of integrity who condemns sin, even if it's done by respected people. Failure to do this is actually failing to serve GOD'S Divine Will and Purpose. MWARI vatibatsire hama. Amen.
