The word blessing comes from the word bless and when we say you are a blessing means you bring joy to the people who are around you. Your presences in the lives of thy people, joy will never depart from them.
But it is too painful to do what is called a blessing to others since you must please God also but as well as the people around us.
2 Corinthians 8:21
[21]Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men....NIV says
For we are taking Pain to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of men.
These words were said by Aposle Paul to the corinthian church and l think it teaches us:
1. For we are taking Pain to do what is right...... This shows to do what is right is painful. Activities which are said to be right are painful. To be faithful to God and man is so painful. To be honest is not that easy but painful. This shows us that to be a blessing is painful.
2. not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of men.....We have believers who act good at the church but back home they are a problem. The way you know God must be a benefit to you Husband, wife, children, sisters and brothers, communite, work mates and any one close to you.
Genesis 39:4
[4]And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.
The God you worship and pray can be proved to be a good God if you are able to be a blessing to people around favour of God elevate you.
1 Samuel 2:26
[26]And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the LORD, and also with men.
To be a blessing to people around you God rewards you with great Favour as well as the people around you.
Since a blessing and curse are word that oppose each other and the are a result of pronounce from both man and God. Other people are cursed because they are sour to people as well as to God.
Luke 17:1
[1]Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!
Refuse to be Judas, to be a sin carrier to people around you for life will be a curse.
