On 24 July 2025Reverend Wilfred Dimingu**, the General Secretary of the **Zimbabwe Council of Churches (ZCC)**, concluded his mission to **Bulawayo Province** with high-level meetings involving local **pastors** and leaders of the **Women Ecumenical Fellowship (WEF)**.
Held separately, the two sessions focused on unpacking the **functionality of ZCC’s local structures**, as laid out in the **2018 ZCC National Assembly resolution**. Rev. Dimingu emphasized how these structures, if fully embraced and implemented, could significantly enhance the church’s influence in both spiritual and societal spheres.
Participants engaged in robust dialogue, raising critical questions and exploring how the church can effectively bear witness in the public arena amid growing social and moral challenges.
The meetings capped off a multi-day visit that began at **Mlondolozi Prison**, symbolizing the ZCC’s commitment to holistic ministry — reaching both the margins and the mainstream.
Rev. Dimingu’s visit and the resulting discussions are expected to catalyze greater coordination and impact across ZCC’s provincial networks, as the church continues to champion justice, unity, and transformation in Zimbabwean society.
