Harare – The Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Harare Metropolitan Province, Charles Tavengwa, recently met with stakeholders of the Love Zimbabwe Festival, including prominent church leaders, to deliberate on the festival’s evangelism model and its potential impact on the community.
Among the notable attendees was Bishop Never Muparutsa, Chairperson of the Zimbabwe Heads of Christian Denominations, alongside other esteemed church leaders from across the province. The meeting highlighted a growing partnership between the government and the church in promoting moral and social transformation.
Minister Tavengwa emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration between the church and state, noting that both institutions ultimately serve the same communities. “When we work together, we strengthen the moral and social fabric of our nation,” he stated.
A highlight of the meeting came when Evangelist Andrew Palau presented a special book hamper on the #lovezimbabwefestival evangelism model to the Minister. The resource is expected to support efforts to positively influence lives and strengthen community outreach across Harare.
The Love Zimbabwe Festival is currently underway and will climax with a grand 3-day event scheduled for 26–28 September 2025 at the historic Zimbabwe Grounds in Highfield, Harare. The festival promises to be a significant spiritual and cultural gathering aimed at promoting love, hope, and unity among Zimbabweans.
