Regulations pertaining uncleanness of men and women_

Sin is loathsome and filthiness and it is the productions of our corrupt and sinful  nature which render us odious to God's holiness and us unfit for communion with Him.

So Jesus said,  "That whoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart" (Matthew 5:28).

The solution to the problem of sin is that out of a pure heart well kept are the issues of life.

The Apostle says, "Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned" (1 Timothy 1:15).

"Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure hear"(2 Timothy 2:22).

Modesty is an ornament of grace to the head and chains of beauty around the neck, so chastity is health to the navel and marrow to the bones but uncleanness is a wound and dishonour, it is the consumption of the flesh and the body and a sin which has often its own punishment more than any other. Sensuous sins are also sometimes inflicted by the righteous hand of God for other sins as they emanate from the wrong mind.

The wiseman says, "Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life"(Proverbs 4:23).

Sin has only one bathroom, the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

The great gospel duties of faith and repentance and the great gospel privileges of the application of Christ's blood to our souls for our justification and His grace for our sanctification are the means we can be separated from sin.

God has promised to sprinkle clean water upon us and to cleanse us from all our filthiness and has appointed us by repentance to wash and make ourselves clean, He has also provided a sacrifice of atonement and requires us by faith to interest ourselves in that sacrifice for it is the blood of Christ His Son that cleanses us from all sin and by which atonement is made for us that we may have admission into God's presence and may partake of His favour.

The Apostle says, "For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God; Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them"(Ephesians 2:8-10).

These laws of uncleanness and purification are for our privilege and honour that we be kept purified unto God as a peculiar people before a holy God for a kingdom of priests, as a holy nation ready for good works. The laws of cleanness and purification teach us of our duty to preserve  purity of heart and conscience so keeping away from all sinful pollutions.

Text: "Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking guile. Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry. The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth" (Psalm 34:14-16).

Appeal

Truly the defilement we contract by our sins of daily infirmity may be cleansed by the renewed acts of repentance and faith, so let us carefully abstain from all sin that as defiles the conscience let us depart from all fleshly lusts so we can preserve our body vessel in sanctification and holiness and not in the lusts of uncleanness which pollute the mind.

The Psalmist says, "Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that has clean hands, and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul to vanity, nor sworn deceitfully" (Psalm 24:3-4) Amen!!!
