Saved By Faith...

Showers of blessings

Reverend N Murambadoro

  Galatians 3:10-12

"For all who depend on the Law [seeking justification and salvation by obedience to the Law and the observance of rituals] are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed (condemned to destruction) is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law, so as to practice them.”

Now it is clear that no one is justified [that is, declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty, and placed in right standing] before God by the Law, for “The righteous (the just, the upright) shall live by faith.” But the Law does not rest on or require faith [it has nothing to do with faith], but [instead, the Law] says, “He who practices them [the things prescribed by the Law] shall live by them [instead of faith].”

The just shall live by faith. I have heard this verse being quoted by a lot of people. Sometimes it was taken out of context and was meant to mean something else.  Vs 11 exposes what Paul meant "Now it is clear that no one is justified before GOD by the Law, for “The just, shall live by faith.” Paul argues that, justification is by faith only and not works.

This kind of behaviour is still prevailing in many people today as well. Faith only sometimes feels not enough so people look for faith supplements.

Faith - yes but it must be supplemented like faith plus water, faith plus oil, faith plus stones, faith plus wrist band etc. That is why people would be fooled to keep objects in their homes. We were saved by faith alone and we don't need to have a plus in our faith. We were justified by faith, we are the just, we must live by faith alone. Its sad that people buy anointed objects to boost or supplement their faith.

The owner of the same objects, don't use them for the same reasons the people buy them for. Brethren, now is the time to wake up. The just live by faith and nothing more. Amen.

Blessings and Shalom
