Understanding Resurrection

TOPIC : LET'S  LOOK AT THE  RESURRECTION OF THE  SAINT ( PART ONE ) 

SCRIPTURE READING: 1 CORINTHIANS 15:51

1. Resurrection means rising from the dead; raised.  

2. Resurrection is the act of coming back to life after being  dead . 

 4. Ressurection means raising up.  In a verb form it means to stand up or rise; to raise up from sleep and from dead.  As followers of Jesus Christ we are not living for time but for eternity. We are eternal beings; we have eternal life in christ.

  

4. Resurrection is a rising again ; chiefly the revival of the  dead of the  human race ,or their return from the grave ,particularly at the  general judgement.  

In the  New testament,  ressurection  in the  reference to our physical bodies means that this present body will be bodily ressurected ,though it will be changed .we do not know the nature of the  resurrected body ,though we will be like Jesus.   

Let's look at the bodily Resurrection of the  saint ; 

1. We will have an incorruptible body ( 1 corinthians 15: 52-54)  In a flash , in the  twinkling of an  eye ,at the  last trumpet.  For the  trumpet will  sound ,the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

 

For the  perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 

When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then  the saying that is written will come true; Death has been swallowed up in victory.  

2. We will be changed ( 1 Corinthians15 : 51) Listen,  I tett you a mystery; we not all sleep, but we will all be changed.
