Acts 14:23 "And when they had appointed elders for them in every church, with prayer and fasting they committed them to the Lord in whom they had believed."
When Paul was writing a letter to Timothy about leadership, he speaks of those who desire to be leaders. Here they appointed the leaders.
But take note of something important here: they appointed with prayer and fasting. It wasn't a mere guess like people voting for politicians. But they sought after GOD'S guidance through the power of the HOLY SPIRIT.
May the LORD help us to possess such principles which the Apostles posessed.
We must put GOD first, we must pray and fast for decisions we need to make. We must commit our decision to the LORD. Amen.
