LEADING WITH THE RIGHT SPIRIT

“For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God, not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre.” (Titus 1:7)

If you are a leader, when people see you, what do they leave with? Do they leave with the impression that it is Ayo Oritsejafor?

What spirit are they receiving from you? Peter had the responsibility to represent Jesus.

In fact, if any of the others had gotten it wrong, it was his duty to correct or rebuke them. If Peter said, “Shut up,” everybody would comply. Ironically, it was Peter who led them astray.

How many of our Branches have the spirit of Word of Life Bible Church? It is very important to know what spirit you are distributing as a leader, and what spirit church members are imbibing.

Peter convinced grown up men to turn away from Jesus because Jesus had not appeared for about a year. Who are you following? Who is influencing you?

Every house has a vision. Word of Life Bible Church is no exception, and this vision should be felt at every level of the Church in all ways, if it is working right.

If I say, “Everybody in all the homes of members of Word of Life Bible Church should sit down by 2 o’clock,” and ask all our leaders to cascade the directive, it should be done just as I have said.

But if I say, “2 o’clock, sit down,” and you, a leader, says, “I forgot,” what are you doing? If members of the church come to you to ask, “Are we to sit down at 2 o’clock?” and you say, “It is left for you.

Live your life as you want” or “I don’t know; I am thinking about it.” You are leading the people astray. Peter led six men astray. This was why when you read towards the end of John chapter 21,

Jesus addressed no other disciple but Peter: “Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these?” (John 21:15).

Did He talk to the remaining six? No. He went straight to the ringleader.

Prayer/Confession: Lord, please give me grace to lead your people in the right direction. Help me not to be a castaway. Amen!

Words of Wisdom: We are all potential leaders in Christ.

Be Expectant!

“Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.” Micah 7:7 (KJV)

The Word of God indeed provides everything that the child of God needs for a healthy relationship with Him. The psalmist wants every child of God to be blessed.

He identified two things that the child of God must do to receive blessings from God: look expectantly to God and wait patiently.

The Amplified Bible makes the opening scripture clearer: “But as for me, I will look expectantly for the Lord and with confidence in Him I will keep watch;
I will wait [with confident expectation] for the God of my salvation.
My God will hear me.”

Dear beloved, when you are expectant and wait on God, your expectations will never be cut off (Proverbs 23:18).

God will always hear and answer the prayers of His children who look expectantly for Him and wait to receive his salvation.

Whatever your desire is, make sure it is the will of God so that you don’t pray amiss and waste time waiting for something you will never receive.

Search the scriptures, and back up your desires with His Word. Then you can rest assured that He will honor His Word in your life. Hallelujah! Be Blessed!

Mukuruva Resurfaces In USA

Former Dynamos goalkeeper Tatenda Mkuruva reportedly made an unobserved move to the U.S from Zambian side Buildcon FC and is even now captaining his side Michigan Stars.

Michigan Stars play in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) which is the fourth tier league, behind the Major Soccer League (MSL) the USL Championship (USLC) and the USL League One (USL1).

According to The Standard, Mukuruva has even been given the armband at his team due to good perfomances and exemplary behaviour.Soccer24

Dynamos Accused Of Using "Bully Boy" Tactics 6y

The coach of ZPC Kariba has accused Dynamos of using "bully boy" tactics in yesterday's Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match.

“These guys (Dynamos), like last time in the reverse fixture, they never came to play football.
We played well in their second half but we wasted numerous chances. Credit to their keeper, he saved their penalty.

“As for the title, it’s one game at a time. We are moving in the right direction. The title issue is not what we discussed at the start of the season.

“On the penalty issue, that was not controversial at all, that was a clear penalty, my keeper retaliated stupidly,” the coach told The Sunday Mail.

Dynamos coach Tonderai Ndiraya, who has now guided the Mbare side to 11 games without a defeat, also heaped praises on ZPC but thinks it is still too early to talk about which teams are favourites for the title.

However, Ndiraya questioned ZPC’s penalty and Tigere’s red card.

“We were on the back foot after that red card, which I think wasn’t justified. A yellow card was young to be sufficient.

“Playing a man down against ZPC Kariba becomes difficult, butUl credit to the boys, they fought for the point. We were not in a good physical condition.

“I thought the last one wasn’t a penalty, credit to Chinani for saving it. It’s difficult to come here and get a point, like I said you are playing against the distance.
I think ZPC Kariba have done well given that they have travelled longt distances every two weeks,” Ndiraya told the publication.

Ndiraya said he will only start talking about the title once his team wins three games on the trot..

Customer Asked To Leave Coffee Shop Due To Stance On Homosexuality

A Lincoln, Neb., coffee shop employee berated and asked a customer to leave due to her biblical beliefs about homosexuality last week, labeling her “bigoted trash” as other customers watched.

Marilyn Synek, communications specialist at the Nebraska Family Alliance – a Christian and socially conservative organization – wrote in a Facebook post that she is a regular customer at Cultiva Coffee, often starting her day there at 7 a.m. for breakfast.
But last Wednesday (Sept. 11), an employee approached her and told her to leave.

“Marilyn Synek! I didn’t recognize you until now, but I just realized who you are, what you stand for, and the work you do,” the employee said, according to Synek’s Facebook post.

“You are f****** bigoted trash, and we do not want you in our restaurant. Over 80% of the people who work here are queer. You are not f****** wanted in our restaurant, so get out and don’t come back! If you do try to come back, we will all refuse any service to you.”

The Nebraska Family Alliance’s goal, according to its website, is to “advocate for marriage, the family, life, and religious freedom.”

It requests prayer that it will be a “beacon of light, declaring the hope and truth of Jesus Christ as we stand for justice and strengthen families in Nebraska.”

Its affiliations include Focus on the Family, the Family Research Council and Alliance Defending Freedom.
But Synek says she doesn’t discuss politics in the coffee shop.

Principal kidnaps Christian girl (15), forces her to convert to Islam

A school principal in Pakistan allegedly kidnapped a 15-year-old Christian girl and forced her to convert to Islam.

According to the Press Trust of India , Faiza Masih was forcibly taken to a Muslim seminary by her school principal, Saleema Bibi, where she was made to convert.
Faiza’s father, Mukhtar Masih, filed a report with the police when his daughter did not return home from school on Wednesday. The police contacted the school, who informed them that the girl had gone to a seminary.

Mukhtar went to three different seminaries, but when he found her at one of them, the staff did not allow him to take her. Police then raided the seminary and recovered the girl, bringing her to a shelter home.
But Faiza has still not been returned to her family.

According to the Mukhtar, the school has attempted to convert the teenager other times. The school told Faiza that if she read Arabic in school, she would “automatically become a Muslim.”

“The principal has also offered us to convert to Islam and in return, she would compensate us by paying for our needs, but we refused,” Mukhtar said. The family is working with authorities to bring their daughter home.

But, according to journalist Naila Inayat, “The teacher who taught Arabic to the girl in the government school told her you can’t go back home now as you’re a Muslim.”
Unfortunately, Faiza’s story is not uncommon. She is one of three reported abductions in Pakistan this month-in early September and late August, both a Hindu and Sikh girl were abducted and forced to convert.

The Sikh girl also married her Muslim captor.

According to the Christian Post, a 2014 study suggested that as many as 1,000 girls who adhere to a religious minority—including Hindu or Christian—are abducted, raped or forced into Islamic marriage every year.

Open Doors USA, a Christian persecution watchdog group, ranks Pakistan as the fifth-worst country in the world for its persecution of Christians.

The country has also caught the attention of the U.S. State Department, labeling it a “country of particular concern” for its freedom of religion violations.

We all face difficult situations

That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
2 Corinthians 12:10, NIV

We all face difficult situations. Somebody isn’t treating you right, or your business is not growing, or maybe you’re single and still haven’t met anyone. It’s easy to get frustrated and anxious. You don’t understand why it’s taking so long or why things haven’t changed.

But here’s a key: just because it’s an uncomfortable place doesn’t mean it’s not where you’re supposed to be.

God uses difficulties to do a work in us. We grow in the tough times. That’s where your character is developed, where you learn to trust God and persevere, and where your spiritual muscles are made strong.

God will not allow a difficulty unless He has a divine purpose for it. If you’re going to reach your highest potential, you have to make up your mind, “I’m not going to live frustrated because I am uncomfortable. I’m not going to be upset because things are not happening on my timetable. I’m not going to fight against everything that I don’t like.”

Instead, believe that God is doing a work in you. Believe that He has the best for you. And see yourself moving forward in the victory He has prepared for you.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, today I give You my questions, frustrations, concerns and doubts. Have Your way in me. I trust that You are at work in every difficult situation in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.

God is refining you

There was once a group of women studying the book of Malachi in the Old Testament. As they were studying chapter three, they came across verse three, which says: “He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.” This verse puzzled the women, and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God. One of the women offered to find out about the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible study.

That week this woman called up a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn’t mention anything about the reason for her interest beyond her curiosity about the process of refining silver. As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up. He explained that in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest as to burn away all the impurities.

The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot – then she thought again about the verse, that he sits as a refiner and purifier of silver. She asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver was being refined.

The man answered “Yes”, and explained that he not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. If the silver was left even a moment too long in the flames, it would be damaged.

The woman was silent for a moment. Then she asked the silversmith, “How do you know when the silver is fully refined?”

He smiled at her and answered, “Oh, that’s easy. When I see my image in it.”

If today you are feeling the heat of this world’s fire, just remember that God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ are refining you.  "You are predestined to be conformed to the image of Christ."

Nation Mourns Founding President RG Mugabe

On behalf of the Transform Zimbabwe family and on my own behalf, I would like to express my deepest condolences to the Mugabe family and to the people of Zimbabwe following the death of founding leader Robert Gabriel Mugabe.

Mugabe fought a good fight as a revolutionary, but soon became a cruel dictator after assuming power in 1980. Consequently, he ended up creating many enemies including within his own party resulting in his ouster in the infamous coup of November 2017.

Ironically, he is leaving a nation behind which is worse off economically, socially and politically than it was in 1980 at independence. He created a security apparatus so brutal it even turned against him in November 2017. He oversaw a disastrous succession plan that groomed the current leadership which he did not want to preside over his own funeral.

Today Zimbabweans are more oppressed by the party he founded than they were in 1980 by the Smith regime.

May his soul rest in eternal peace. He was a great revolutionary in his own right.

Man Kills Son For Breaking Neighbour's Window

A Bulawayo man killed his son for breaking a neighbour's window.

The man is  recovering at Mpilo hospital after attempting to commit suicide.

According to Chronicle, Joseph Phiri from Sindiza Suburb in Bulawayo struck his Form 2 pupil son Adam with an iron bar after he learnt that he had broken a neighbour’s window.

The strike turned fatal as he soon discovered his son was not breathing and he then drank a pesticide in a suicide attempt move.

" It’s senseless how he attacked and killed his child.

We are told that his son had broken a neighbour’s window pane resulting in the neighbour approaching Phiri and telling him to reprimand his son. Phiri told the neighbour that Adam had been giving him problems and vowed to fix him.

He savagely attacked his son all over his body with an iron bar, killing him in the process,"a source told the state run paper.

Love The Word

Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing causes them to stumble.
Psalm 119:165, NKJV

TODAY'S WORD:
Everything you need in this life for personal direction, healing, peace, joy and provision is found in the Word of God. No matter what situation you may be facing today, you can live in peace and victory and find your answer by studying God’s Word and applying it in your life!

Notice this verse says that the people who love God’s Word have great peace. How do you love God’s Word?

By studying it, meditating on it, and obeying His commands. That’s when you can walk in the fullness of His blessing. That’s when you will see His promises come to pass in your life.

When you hold God’s Word in your heart, there’s nothing that can take it away from you. There’s nothing that can make you stumble and fall.

His Word is complete protection from offense, from worry, from bitterness, from fear. His Word is truth that sets you free and gives you His total peace! Love His Word and never stumble!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
"Father, I humbly come before You, giving You all that I am. I choose to follow Your Word because I love and honor You. Give me Your strength and great peace for today in Jesus' name. Amen."

Friends, do not let the big mega churches/denominations fool you.. God's people are never in the majority..

In the days of Noah, God's people was saved in the Ark.. and the rest of the world drowned and died in their sins..

And today.. God's people the saved are in Christ, in His Son's church, the church of Christ, Galatians 3:27, 1Corinthians 12:13, Acts 2:47, Ephesians 5:23, Romans 16:16..

And all church bodies built by men that the Father did not plant, will perish into eternal punishment, Matthew 15:13,14,..

Friends, only a few will find eternal life.. the rest of the world will perish into eternal punishment.. God's people are always in the few.. God's people are never in the majority..

Matthew 7:13,14 says, Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:   Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The child said in the Old Testament the Sheep Died for the Shepherds for the remission of their sins but in the *New Testament*  the Shepherd Died for the Sheep for the remission of their sins.

Be Great in the Midst of Criticism

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
"But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you."
Matthew 5:44, NKJV

TODAY'S WORD:
If you’re going to pursue greatness, if you’re going to be a great businessperson, a great teacher, a great parent or a great leader, you have to understand that not everyone is going to cheer you on. I’d love to tell you that your family, friends and coworkers will celebrate you, but that’s not necessarily the case. Some people simply can’t handle your success. As you grow and increase, as God pours out His favor on you, someone will get jealous and start finding fault.

Don’t be surprised if a relative tries to belittle or discredit you. You can’t focus on making everyone around you happy or you’ll start changing and lose sight of what God has placed in your heart.

Remember, your destiny is too great to be distracted by people who are never going to affirm you. Don’t take it personally. It’s not about you. It’s their problem. Shake it off, run your race, and be great anyway.

Having greatness in the midst of criticism begins with forgiveness.

Don’t hold a grudge. Bless those who curse you; pray for those who spitefully use you. As you keep doing what is right, God will honor you. He’ll promote you, and you’ll be great in the midst of criticism!?

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, I come to You today with an open and humble heart. I choose to forgive those who have criticized me. I choose to bless those who have hurt me.

I choose to be great because You have equipped and empowered me to be great in the midst of criticism in Jesus’ name! Amen.

Back to our roots

Give me the old time religion where the love for God brought us to church and not the needs at home...

Give me the old time religion where Christians were living saints and not hypocrites
I want the old time religion where purity was celebrated and sin detested.

I want the old path where neither text messages nor voice call is used to remind the saints about service.

Give me the old path where persecution was a testimony and not a reason for back sliding
Give me the old path where saints were more heavenly conscious and not the world base Christianity of today.

The old path
The pews and benches
The crosses
The tears
The love built on trust
Where sisters married as virgins and not as single parents.

The old path where Christ was all
Husbands were loving;
Wives were supportive; and children were polite.

Women looked like ladies; Men looked like gentlemen; and children looked decent.

People loved the truth, and hated a lie.
Rejoicing sounded normal;
 and crying sounded sincere.
Cursing was wicked; Drinking was evil; and divorce was unthinkable.

Not where we are now. Divorce today preach tomorrow
 We read the Bible in public; Prayed in school;
And preached from house to house.

To be called a Christian was worth living for;
Sex was a personal word. Homosexual was an unheard of word, And abortion was an illegal word.

Preachers preached because they had a message; and
Christians rejoiced because they had the VICTORY!
Preachers preached from the Bible;
Singers sang from the heart;
Sinners turned to the Lord to be SAVED!
 A new birth meant a new life; Salvation meant a changed life;
Following Christ led to eternal life.
We have turned church to theatre
Alter to stage
The Gospel to motivations
Faith to management.

Being a preacher meant you proclaimed the word of God;
Being a deacon meant you would serve the Lord;
Being a Christian meant you would live for Jesus;
And being a sinner meant someone was praying for you!
Laws were based on the Bible;
Homes read the Bible;
And churches taught the Bible.

Preachers were more interested in new converts than new clothes and new cars.

Church was where you found Christians on the Lord's day, rather than in the park,
on the creek bank, on the golf course, or being entertained somewhere else.

Give me that old time religion
'Tis good enough for me!
Am tired of the new
Am tired of hypocrisy
Am tired of betrayals
I want the old
I still like the "Old Paths"  Jeremiah 6:16.

Are You Following Jesus Christ?

“From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 4:17 (KJV)

Jesus Christ is truly the Son of God. From His conception to His ascension to heaven, He manifested the divinity of God expressed in a human body. One unique aspect of Jesus’s life on Earth is His consciousness of the timing and fulfillment of the Scriptures.

He fulfilled every scripture prophesied about Him at the right time. He began to preach at the right time, having spent thirty years to prepare for His ministry on Earth. Dear beloved, what are you using your life and time for?

Remember that you will give an account of your stewardship to Jesus Christ, and how you used your life and time will be required of you (2 Corinthians 5:10). Spend time preparing for the task that God has assigned to you: the life He has given you are for a purpose.

As you meditate on the Word of God day and night and fellowship with the Holy Spirit and other brethren in like faith, He will reveal His specific purpose for your life. Live a purpose-driven life to please your heavenly Father, and your life will be meaningful and fulfilling. Hallelujah! Be A Follower Of Christ Jesus!

PERSISTENCE AND DETERMINATION

“Yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God.” (Eccl. 8:12b)

That you fear God does not mean you will not face trials and temptations.

That is an indisputable fact of life. However, it does not mean that because you are presently experiencing fleeting negative circumstances, things will not be well with you.

Be rest assured that your present condition is not the end of the story.

The assurance of your wellbeing has been assured in Eccl. 8:12b. Whatsoever you do not like in your life, reject. And whatsoever is missing, which your desire, call it into being by decrees.

Let me briefly narrate again Job’s story that you know so well. Job had seven sons, three daughters, seven thousand sheep, five hundred oxen, three thousand camels, and five hundred she-assess.

In his time, he was acclaimed the greatest of all men in the East.

In Job 3:3-13, Job cursed the day he was conceived and born, and the circumstances that kept him alive until the day of his affliction.

We should not do any such things, but this is graphically illustrating the travails of a ‘big’ man who fell with a bang, from somebody to nobody, from grace to grass.

Delving further into the story of Job, one realizes that, at a point, Job shifted from complaining to praying.

Most likely, he realized that complaining only compounds and makes problems worse rather than solve them.

Words of Wisdom: Spiritual perception is the ability to understand in the senses what one knows outside the senses.

Prayer/Confession: Lord Jesus, give me strength to push forward even in my night seasons! Amen!

You Need Mercy!

“Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.” Matthew 5:7 (KJV)

There are many spiritual needs of the child of God, and mercy is one of them. Mercy is an aspect of God’s love that causes Him to help the miserable, just as grace is the aspect of His love that moves Him to forgive the guilty. Those who are miserable may be so either because of breaking God’s law or because of circumstances beyond their control.

Dear beloved, you need the mercy of God in your life since you do not know when you will break God’s law by sinning or find yourself in a situation beyond your control.

Always pray for His mercy in order to enjoy it and be empowered to also show mercy to your fellow human beings, especially those in the household of faith. Living a life of showing mercy to the vulnerable in society will make a way for you to also enjoy it from others.

Messi Is Free To Leave FC Barcelona

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has revealed club legend Lionel Messi is free to leave the club at the end of the season.

The Argentine signed a four-year deal in 2017 and will enter into his final year in June 2020.

Speaking to the club’s media, Bartomeu, however, says if Messi decides to leave, they will not be worried as it has been the same case with other club legends in the past.

He said: “Leo Messi has a contract through to the 2020-21 season, but the player is able to leave Barca before the final season.

“It’s the same case as with the final contracts that Xavi, (Carles) Puyol and (Andres) Iniesta had. They are players who deserve that liberty, and we shouldn’t worry, as they are very committed to Barca.

“We want Messi to play for Barca through to 2021 and beyond. We are very calm.”

Despite the scare, Corrales thanked God for protecting his life.

"I'm thankful to God because I didn't die," he told KWCH . "I thought I was going to die when I got hit by a semi-truck."

Corrales added that he had been incredibly grateful for the support he’s received since the accident.

“They prayed and believed in me and I'm just thankful for that," he said. "I'm ready to go home, I'm happy I get to go home."

China Intensifies Crackdown On Christianity

China’s recent crackdown on Christianity has led to intensified enforcement of a law already on the books: children and youth cannot convert to the faith until they’re 18.

Churches across China are cancelling Sunday School classes for children in light of the new clampdown, according to Mission Network News.

“One of the rules that have always been in their law is that you cannot proselytize or you cannot convert somebody under the age of 18,” Erik Burklin of China Partner told Mission Network News.

Previously, he said, parents “were having their children come to church and many churches started what we would call Sunday School classes.”

“They would use that time to teach children Bible verses and teach them Christian songs and so forth,” Burklin said.

Now, though, many churches “have been notified” by China’s “Religious Affairs Bureau” that “you can no longer conduct Sunday School classes in your churches,” he said.

AFM Row Finally Resolved?

THE row over control of the Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) Church and its assets, pitting rival groups led by Bishop Aspher Madziyire and Reverend Cossam Chiangwa, was yesterday settled after the High Court declared the former as the bona fide leader of the church.

High Court judge Justice David Mangota barred Rev Chiangwa and his followers from using the name of the church when conducting their activities without authorisation from Bishop Madziyire’s camp.

“The respondents are hereby barred from accessing or using any assets or property of any kind belonging to the church,” said Justice Mangota.

“The respondents and their followers or agents or assignees be and are hereby directed to relinquish to the church all and any property belonging to the church that is in possession or under control of the respondents.

“Failure of the above, the Sheriff of Zimbabwe and his lawful deputy be and is hereby authorised to take all and any property and assets belonging to church from the control and possession of the respondent and hand over the same to the church.”

Rev Chiangwa, Amon Chinyemba, Nathan Nhira, Donald Ndoni, Arthur Nhamburo, one M.
Mashumba and one S. Sebata were cited as respondents.

Bishop Madziyire and his then deputy went their separate ways with each of them commanding their followers in the church following last September’s church council meeting, which passed a vote of no confidence on the president of the church.State media

Do You Know Your Divine Nature?

“The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.” Psalm 145:8 (KJV)

It is good to be born again. The born-again experience is the only nature that is acceptable to God, which is why God is calling everyone to salvation (John 3:3).

When you accept Jesus Christ as the Lord and personal Savior of your life, you become born again, and the Spirit of God comes to live in you. His role in you is to teach you how to live your divine nature on Earth (John 16:13).

Remember that now you have become the righteousness of God; you need to know what that means and to live it to your full potential. Grace and compassion become resident in your spirit, and the Holy Spirit will teach you how to use them to become slow to anger and full of mercy.

It is your responsibility to fellowship with the Holy Spirit through the Holy Scriptures and prayer and to cooperate with Him to become what He has destined you to be. Remember that you cannot entirely do without people.

They will irritate you and do all manner of things against you, but you must use that opportunity to exhibit your divine nature of grace, compassion, godly anger, and mercy. May you never get weary of living your divine nature. Hallelujah! You Are An Overcomer!

Keys to Freedom

"I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades."
Revelation 1:18, NIV

TODAY'S WORD:
Have you ever been locked out of your car or house? It can be very frustrating, not to mention inconvenient. Not having your keys can keep you stuck and unproductive. It steals your time and can steal your peace and joy if you let it.

On a spiritual level, we need keys to access what God has for us—eternal life, peace, freedom and blessing. But we don’t have to stand on the outside of blessing, living in frustration. Jesus holds the keys, and He has opened the way for us to walk from death to life.

We don’t have to live in defeat, mediocrity, sickness, sin or any kind of bondage any longer. He has given us the keys to abundant life!

Today, if you feel stuck, locked out or defeated, remember, Jesus is the One who holds the keys to your freedom. All you have to do is call on His name and He will answer. He promises to hear you and deliver you. Receive His salvation, receive hope, and receive the freedom and victory He came to give.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, today I come boldly to You. Thank You for giving me life through Your Son, Jesus. I surrender every area of my heart to You and ask that You make me whole and complete.

Set me free and teach me to walk in Your ways in Jesus’ name. Amen

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

What is hypocrisy?

"When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter in front of them all, "You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it, then, that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs?"
 Galatians 2:14 - [NIV]

Hypocrisy, or moral self contradiction forces people to abandon the truth of the gospel.

You will be found to be serving two masters which is in contradiction with the word of God.

Don't engage in behaviour that you criticise other people for, that's hypocrisy. The apostles were preaching the gospel of accepting the gentiles into the church and Peter was still having fears and holding two opinions about the issue.

Make sure whatever decision you make does not contradict or dilute the truth of the gospel. Your behaviour, actions and character should always correspond to the bible. Paul teaches Titus to be examplary always in good works as well as showing uncorruptness in teaching. Titus 2:7

Peter failed to be a good example. Be a good example.

Use God’s Wisdom!

“Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.” Matthew 10:16 (KJV)

The gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes (Romans 1:16). The gospel has the power to transform the recipient to become what God has ordained them to be in order to be a blessing to many.

Jesus Christ has commanded every born again Christian to preach and teach the gospel (Matthew 28:1920).

However, He cautions every believer in Him to preach and teach the gospel with wisdom.

There are many people who will oppose the gospel when it is first preached to them; some may insult, resent, mock, or even persecute us because of the gospel.

Dear beloved, when you are faced with all this opposition, don’t retort, fight back, or enter into argument. It is the gospel of peace to do it peacefully; leave the rest to God to handle. Arm yourself with prayer, the Word of God, and the wisdom of God, and you will enjoy winning souls for Christ.

Deliverance From All Traps

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
…let them say continually, ‘Let the Lord be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.’”
Psalm 35:27, NKJV

TODAY'S WORD:
In Scripture, the Israelites had been in slavery for many years.

That was the land of “Barely Enough.” They were just enduring, surviving, barely making it through. One day God brought them out of slavery and took them into the desert, the land of “Just Enough.” Their needs were supplied, but nothing extra. It says their clothes didn’t wear out for forty years.

They were probably grateful, but who really wants to wear the same clothes for forty years?

God eventually took them into the Promised Land, the land of “More Than Enough.” The food and supplies were plenteous.

The bundles of grapes were so large that two grown men had to carry them. It’s called “the land flowing with milk and honey.”

“Flowing” means it didn’t stop. It never ran out. It continued to have abundance. That’s where God is taking you.

You may be in the land of “Barely Enough” right now. You don’t know how you’re going to make it.

Don’t worry. God hasn’t forgotten about you. He’s leading you to a new land. Just keep following His leading and move forward into the abundance He has in store for you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You for delighting to see me prosper.

Thank You for the blessings You have given me and those You have in store for me. Help me to develop a vision for Your abundant life so that I can be a blessing everywhere I go in Jesus’ name. Amen.

God’s Character

“The Lord is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.” Numbers 14:18 (KJV)

The Most High is the greatest personality in the whole universe. He is good, and His goodness has given us the opportunity to know Him through His Word.

The opening scripture reveals some of the moral attributes of God: longsuffering or slow to anger, great mercy or abundant in loving-kindness, and forgiving wickedness and transgression.

These attributes are enjoyed by His children on a daily basis. There is another aspect of God that is also worth mentioning or knowing, which is that He rewards righteousness and punishes sin.

In the Old Testament, He visited the sins or iniquities of the fathers on the children, but in the New Testament, each person is punished for his or her sins or iniquities; He doesn’t punish people for sins or iniquities others have committed (Romans 6:23).

No wonder He is calling everyone to repent and receive the gift of salvation in the person of His dear Son, Jesus Christ (John 3:16).

Dear beloved, take advantage of God’s moral attributes or character, and live like Him so that you can become a blessing to God and those in your world.

Do You Enjoy Sinning?

“And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the Lord shall be consumed. For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.” Isaiah 1:28–29 (KJV)

Sin is very deceptive. Its appearance is attractive, which is why many people find it irresistible. It appears to be palatable, so the perpetrators keep enjoying it and become addicted to it. However, it leads its victim or perpetrators to destruction and shame.

The Amplified Bible brings out the clarity of the opening scripture; it says, “But rebels and sinners will be crushed and destroyed together, And those who abandon (turn away from) the Lord will be consumed (perish).

For you will be ashamed [of the degradation] of the oaks in which you took [idolatrous] pleasure, And you will be ashamed of the gardens [of passion] which you have chosen [for pagan worship].” Dear beloved, if you are born again, you are the light of the world; therefore, shun evil and do good.

Look unto Jesus Christ, learn from Him in the Holy Scriptures, and live a righteous life, and blessings, peace, and glory will be your portion.

Highlanders To Sack Mandla Mpofu?

Mandla Mpofu’s romance with Highlanders is likely to come to an end if the three-match ultimatum given to him by the club is to be considered.

Mpofu and his assistants – Bekithemba Ndlovu and goalkeepers’ trainer Tembo Chuma – were told to get a minimum of six points from the games against Triangle United, Mushowani Stars and Hwange to save their jobs.

But as it stands now, that will be impossible to achieve following a goalless draw against Mushowani on Sunday, and having lost 2-1 to Triangle on Thursday.

We Failed To Utilize Scoring Opportunities-Highlanders Coach

Highlanders coach Mandla Mpofu has rued the chances his charges wasted in 1-0 defeat to Harare City on Sunday.

Bosso dominated proceedings throughout the game, but a 21st-minute goal from Jerry Chipangura spelt a bad day for the Bulawayo giants.

Prince Dube, MacClive Phiri, Peter Muduhwa and Brian Banda all created good chances but failed to hit the target.

“In football, if you don’t take your chances you are bound to be punished and this exactly what happened today,” Mpofu said in his post-match presser.

“We created more than a dozen chances but didn’t convert even one. It’s something that, as a coach, gets you worried.

“In terms of performance we did well but it was not enough to win the match.”

Mpofu also explained the reason behind his team’s failure to score goals.

He said: “We don’t have that composure because it was easy to score than to miss. We will dig dipper and find the solution.”

Jesus Is the Bread of Life!

“Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.” John 6:49–50 (KJV)

Human beings were not created to die, but because of the sin of disobedience, death entered the human race.

Jesus Christ was sent by the Father to redeem the human race from the power of death. Finally, sin was nailed to the cross of Calvary, and death was defeated through the resurrection of Jesus Christ (John 20:1–10).

His resurrection confirmed His Word that He is indeed the bread of life. The life here is eternal life; it is the divine life of God that can be corrupted by neither sin nor death. Dear beloved, Jesus Christ has now ascended to the Father, and He lives forever.

Physical death still exists, but you can save yourself from spiritual death and eternal death by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life.

Remember that physical death can only be overcome by believers in Christ Jesus, just as Enoch and Elijah did not see physical death; it all depends on your faith in Christ Jesus.

Saving yourself from eternal death in hell should be your priority so that you can enjoy eternal life now and continually enjoy it when you depart to heaven.

May you continue to eat the bread of life through the Word of God and teach others to do likewise. Hallelujah! You Are An Overcomer!

With God, All Things Are Possible!

“And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees. And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the Lord: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.” 2 Kings 20:10–11 (KJV)

It is easy for a Christian to believe that God can do all things but doubt regarding things that relate to them personally. King Hezekiah found himself in such a situation.

He was sick and about to die, and the prophet Isaiah confirmed to him that he would die and not live. Hezekiah cried unto the LORD and recounted to God all the good works he had done for Him, and God had mercy on Him. He sent Isaiah to go back to tell King Hezekiah that He had heard him and would add fifteen years to his life. Hezekiah asked for a sign from Isaiah to authenticate the voice of God.

Dear beloved, you might have found yourself in a similar situation, and you are asking God for a sign to be sure whether your situation will change for good.

Asking for a sign to confirm the Word of God is an indication of doubt in your heart.

The Holy Scriptures do not tell lies, hence they should be the sign you need to overcome any shadow of doubt in you (John 17:17). Hold onto the Word of God, and keep professing or declaring it by faith; let it show in your conversation that you trust the Word of God.

Praise God for His Word, and you will receive the deliverance you need.

Value Every Moment

Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Psalm 90:12, NIV

TODAY'S WORD:
Have you stopped to consider that today is a special gift from God? Sometimes our days are so full and busy that we forget how fragile life really is. It can be easy to allow little things to creep in and steal our peace and joy. Maybe something doesn’t go our way, or someone says something upsetting. Even traffic can cause us to lose focus if we let it. We have to remember that each day is a gift. If we choose to focus on what’s wrong, we’ll miss the blessings that each day has to offer.

I encourage you today to not let the precious moments of life pass you by.

Don’t wait for holidays and birthdays to show people that you care. Remember, each day is unique and irreplaceable. You have been given time that can be invested or wasted; hours that can be used or misused. That’s why the psalmist prayed to God, “Teach us to number our days.” He was saying, “Teach us to value every moment we’ve been given.” As you daily keep a proper perspective, you’ll gain a heart of wisdom. You’ll draw closer to God and experience the full blessings that He has for you each and every day!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You for the gift of today. I choose to focus on the blessing of each moment instead of allowing the little things to steal my joy.

Keep me close to You always as I surrender every area of my heart and mind to You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Go for Quietness

“Better is an handful with quietness, than both the hands full with travail and vexation of spirit.” Ecclesiastes 4:6 (KJV)

The universe was created to declare the glory of God. God runs the universe by the laws He has made. It is vital for the children of God to know these laws and take advantage of them.

Fortunately, He has put these laws in the Holy Bible. The Word of God is all that you need to live a peaceful but successful life.

As a child of God, you need to understand that life is not about how much you have; it is about using what you have to bless lives. Therefore, when making choices, think about the choices that will bring you peace in the end.

It is good to have a lot of resources with the intention of investing in the work of God.

However, if striving for those resources is taking away your peace and quietness, stop and allow the Lord to lead you to strive for the ones that will help you to enjoy peace. Managing the little you have in the atmosphere of peace and rest is better than acquiring a lot that is accompanied by agony and restlessness. Hallelujah! Be wise!

Switch Over To The Victory Channel

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
Philippians 4:8, NKJV

TODAY'S WORD:
It’s interesting that our mind will naturally gravitate toward the negative. One study showed how positive and negative memories are handled by different parts of the brain. A negative memory takes up more space because there’s more to process. As a result, we will remember the negative more than the positive. For example, a person will remember losing fifty dollars more than they will remember gaining fifty dollars.

Knowing this, we have to be proactive with our thoughts. When negative memories come back to the movie screen of the mind, many people pull up a chair, get some popcorn and watch them all over again. No, the point is that’s not the only channel. There’s another movie playing on a channel that’s filled with your accomplishments and victories.

Instead of staying on that negative channel, switch over to your victory channel. You’re not going to move forward into the new things God has in store if you’re always replaying the negative things that have happened to you. Instead, learn to change the channel. Meditate on victory and move forward in the victory and blessing God has in store for you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, today I choose to set my focus on what You’ve done in my life. I choose to change the channel in my mind from defeat to victory. I set my thoughts on Your love and thank You for Your blessing in every area of my life in Jesus’ name! Amen.

PLEASING THE FATHER

Wisdom Perspectives

Proverbs 29:3 (KJV)
Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father:
but he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth his substance.

“...but he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth his substance “ Keeping company with harlots suggest hanging around with destroyers of your destiny. These are worthless people who waste your precious time and resources.

There are many destiny or vision destroyers out there. It does not matter how great a vision you have like the prodigal son, or how highly anointed you are like Samson, as long as you hang around worthless people you will not get any farther than ruin and destruction of purpose.

The prodigal son demanded his way against his father’s will and so did Samson in attaching himself to a harlot. The prodigal son had riches but he hanged around with destiny destroyers and ruined his life.

Luk 15:13  And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.

Luk 15:14  And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
Luk 15:15  And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.

Luk 15:16  And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.

Samson was a highly anointed young man but was rebellious against his parents. He could not listen to their advice and he eventually lost his sight and died miserably. Indeed, initially, it was God’s will and strategy that Samson should marry a Philistine woman (Judges 14:1-4) but it was not God’s will and strategy that Samson should hang around with Delilah the prostitute.

Judges 16:4
And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah.

Delilah became the undoing of Samson. Parallels of learning can be drawn here that as long as you hang out with morally corrupt people, you are sure to be corrupted as well. The old maxim has it that BAD COMPANY CORRUPTS GOOD MANNERS.

“Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father:.........”   Every father has pleasure in the wise decisions of his son. The son’s wisdom assures the father of the future of his son. The first foolish step any son can take is to despise the wisdom of his father. That was mistake of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32.

The wisdom of a son that rejoices the father is obedience. Obedience is an honour to the father’s wisdom. Jesus was said to grow up in wisdom, stature and in favour with men and God because he lived in obedience to the Word of God. The Word of God is the only source of wisdom that pleases God.

God takes pleasure in the application of His Word. Obedience is faith in action and it pleases God.

Matthew 3:15 (KJV)

And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. 16  And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17  And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Jesus’ wisdom was expressed through obedience to the Father. What pleased the Father was Jesus’ obedience to the word of the Father even as the following passage of scripture further demonstrates.

Mat 4:3  And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
Mat 4:4  But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

The wise choices you make in favour of the Word pleases the Father because that translates into doing the Father’s will. .

Heb 11:6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Diligently seeking God implies obeying God’s word with hope and expectation. That kind of FAITH pleases God.

Heb 10:38  Now THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. Heb 10:39  But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. Heb 11:1  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

SECRET OF WINNERS

In the jungle:
1. The Elephant is the biggest;
2. The Giraffe is the tallest;
3. The Fox is the wisest;?
4. The Cheetah is the fastest;

Yet, the Lion is the KING of the jungle even without ANY of these qualities.

Why?

Because:
1.  The Lion is courageous, is bold, walks with confidence, dares anything and is never afraid.
2. The Lion believes it is unstoppable.
3. The Lion is a risk taker.
4. The Lion believes any animal is food for him.
5. The Lion believes any opportunity is worth giving a trial and never lets it slip from its hands.

So...
1. You don't need to be the fastest.
2. You don't need to be the wisest.
3. You don't need to be the smartest.
4. You don't need to be the most brilliant.
5. All you need is *courage*
6. All you need is the *will to try*.
7. All you need is the *faith* to believe it *is possible*.
8. All you need is to believe in yourself, that you can do it.!!

The Lion sleeps for 20 hours & works for 4 hours & yet eats meat. But the elephant works for 24 hours & eats grass.Your life's strategy matters most in your approach to circumstances & situations for you to be a champion or winner always.

Our Values Must Be Respected -Vapositori Declare After Bashing Girl (14) For Wearing Trousers

Members of the Johane Masowe Apostolic Sect have declared that their rights must be respected.

Godfrey Munondo a member of the  Johane Masowe Apostolic sect  told H-Metro   that their community has a way of life which needs to be respected.

Munondo claimed that a 14 -year-old girl who was attacked by the apostolic sect members failed to honour their values.

“We acquired this area as Johane Masowe church, people have to realise that when they pass through they must observe and follow our church doctrine.

We do not allow our women to wear trousers since it tarnishes the true reflection of a human being and as you can see I cannot wear a short because it’s not allowed in this area,”he said.
