Be Wary Of False Preachers

Today's devotion: *You must put into practice what you know.*

*James 4:17 If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn't do it, it is sin for them.*

The world we live in is full of those who claim to know, but not applying what they claim to know. And we have heard the saying "knowledge is power", but when you clearly look through this scripture, you can conclude that knowledge is not power, but applied knowledge is.

It's not enough to have knowledge about something if you are not going to apply that knowledge - that is sin according to James. Remember every change begins when we begin to apply the knowledge we have acquired.

For example, consider a believer who knows that prayer unlocks doors, tithing builds a hedge over their wealth, studying the word builds up their lives etc but yet continue to do contrary or not to practice these very things they know, that knowledge is not helping them at all, and this is what James is telling us that if you know what you ought to do and you don't do it, that knowledge has become sin to you!

Don't fight to know many things that you won't put in practice, just start to apply the few you know! It's useless to know what you aren't practically practicing, learn to put into practice everything you learn.

Be Blessed
