The Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe (EFZ) has joined the Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa Forward in Faith International (ZAOGA FIFMI) in celebrating a major milestone in the church’s leadership, marked by the consecration of Archbishop Dr. Joseph Joe Guti and the elevation of Apostles Mishael Nyambo and Dr. Steve Simukai to the office of Bishop.
In a statement, EFZ expressed joy and solidarity with ZAOGA FIFMI, describing the moment as a significant step in strengthening spiritual leadership and advancing the work of the Gospel both in Zimbabwe and beyond.
The fellowship extended its prayers for divine wisdom, grace, and guidance upon the newly consecrated and elevated leaders as they take on their new responsibilities. EFZ noted that the trio assumes office at a crucial time, when strong, visionary leadership is needed to guide the church and its members in faith, unity, and service.
The appointment of Archbishop Dr. Joseph Joe Guti also marks a new chapter in the life of the ministry, as he builds upon the enduring legacy of the late Archbishop Professor Ezekiel H. Guti, the founding father of ZAOGA FIFMI. His lifelong commitment to evangelism, discipleship, and church development continues to inspire generations within and beyond Zimbabwe.
EFZ emphasized its commitment to working closely with church leaders under its banner in promoting spiritual growth, social transformation, and national development through faith-based initiatives.
“We pray for God’s continued wisdom and grace upon these leaders as they serve in this new era, building upon the strong foundation laid by Archbishop Ezekiel H. Guti,” the statement read.
The celebrations come under the banner of unity and progress, echoing EFZ’s theme of Pray, Engage, Build, as the church moves forward in fulfilling its mandate.
