 Acts 14:2-3 "But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brothers. 

So they remained for a long time, speaking boldly for the Lord, who bore witness to the word of his grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands."

The LORD opened a new door for the Apostles to preach the Gospel but still there were new challenges. There were different Jewish people also causing new problems. 

Now they were influencing the Gentiles. But the Apostles remained strong and persevered in the face of opposition. Because of that, the LORD confirmed HIS Word by enabling them to perform signs and wonders. 

We can clearly see that behind all the troubles caused against Apostles was the devil, using different people. The devil didn't want the Gospel to be preached, so he caused problems for preachers. Its still the same devil ariko today, using the same old tactics.

 This story reveals something here: In some instances, we don't need to run away but face the challenge with boldness. But we need the HOLY SPIRIT to enable us to discern where to persevere and where to excuse ourselves. Here the Apostles remained there preaching boldly. And the LORD confirmed HIS Word by signs and wonders. Amen.
