THE POWER OF GODLY ADVICE

“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.” (Revelation 2:17)

I intend to analyze the passage above by breaking it into many parts. I will skip the first phrase, “He that hath an ear…” and begin with the second, “To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna...”

The world is a war zone. Life is a theatre of wars. Anyone who tells you anything contrary is deceiving you.

There is a myriad of wars against your livelihood, health, career, finance, marriage, family, children, destiny and every other area of life.

The spiritual and the physical realms are war zones. You cannot be an overcomer when nothing is confronting you.

You must have contended with an adversary, someone or something that you overcame, before you can lay claim to being an overcomer.  You are an overcomer if at the end of the day you are a winner.

In Jeremiah 42:14, the Israelites decided to file to Egypt for fear of the king of Babylon.

They feared reprisal from the king of Babylon because one of them, “Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon made governor in the land.”

(Jeremiah 41:18) However, when the nation of Israel sought the face of God concerning the matter through prophet Jeremiah, God intervened.

Wars are no respecter of geographical locations. As long as you live, you will face wars everywhere you go. It is inevitable. If you do not want wars, you do not want to be an overcomer.

Word of wisdom: If you want to be an overcomer, you must confront wars

Prayer/confession: I will never accept defeat because God has made me an overcomer. Amen!
