God's Blessings
By Reverend N Murambadoro
Psalm 127:2 "It is vain for you to rise up early, to take rest late, to eat the bread of toil (kudya zvokutamburira) —for He gives to His beloved in sleep (asi Unopa Vake vakavata)."
This Psalm reveals great truth about our labours in relation to GOD.
We must understand that it is the LORD, Who blesses everything, meaning to say, our daily lives; our domestic duties; our business opportunities and our various labours.
The LORD is the one Who provides for our everyday needs, and it is upon HIM that each one of us should justifiably depend.
The LORD pours out HIS favour on our labour, and establish the work of our hands.
But when our toil is divorced from HIS providence, or when we undertake to work in our own strength, that's when we discover the futility of our actions.
When we seek to be independent of the LORD, we find it is vain to rise up early and retire late in order to eat the bread of toil or painful labours. But for those who trust and dependon GOD, they are blessed even when they are asleep.
This Psalm teaches us some important principles of living.
The blessings of GOD are not in rising up early and sleeping late but in putting GOD in the equation.
Trust, rely and depend on GOD in everything you do and you shall be blessed. Dont take things upon your shoulders. It is GOD who blesses with your little effort on working. Amen.
