UNDERSTANDING THE ELEVEN WAYS IN WHICH GOD SPEAKS TO US

(1) *THROUGH DREAMS*

- GOD gives people, dreams to warn, encourage, rebuke, and to guide them. We should therefore not ignore the dreams of GOD.

- Dreams are the most common means of communication between the spirit world and our physical world. {Job 33:14}

Although God speaks again and again, no one pays attention to what he says.  {Job 33:15}

At night when people are asleep, God speaks in dreams and visions.



(2) *THROUGH VISIONS*

- visions are not like dreams.

- visions are received when a person is awake or the person is in Spirit but dreams only come when a person is in deep  sleep.

- visions can come as pictures or events in your mind especially when you are praying and you begin seeing  certain pictures maybe of a place or a person. So it's you to try and relate and find out what exactly the LORD is  trying to communicate to you.

- visions can also come when you are walking or doing your activities whereby certain images come to your mind in few seconds then they disappear.



(3) *THROUGH SONGS*

- Sometimes when the HOLY SPIRIT sees that you are low in spirit and discouraged, He makes you sing songs that will uplift  your spirit and give you hope.

- He uses songs to encourage, warn , and give directions to people.

- There is power in holy songs. Worship usually brings down GOD'S Glory and revives your spirit .Worship removes burdens from your heart and gives you peace so be worshipping the LORD always even as you work, walk, do cleaning or in any activity, do them as you worship the LORD JESUS.



(4) *THROUGH CIRCUMSTANCES*

- The LORD uses real life events to talk to you. Maybe you have  committed a certain sin, and  everything begins to backfire against you. For example, you may hit yourself against walls or floors or objects in which GOD is trying to make you realize that you have sinned and you need to repent immediately.

- maybe it's something you want to buy but it displeases the LORD, so the LORD can make you feel burning sensations in your stomach as a warning message to you not to purchase it.



(5) *THROUGH OTHER PEOPLE.*

- GOD can use a person to give you a certain message of guidance, directions, warning or comfort. He can use your friends, your spiritual leaders, your workmates, or any other Person.  {2 Samuel 12:1}

The LORD sent the prophet Nathan to David. Nathan went to him and said, "There were two men who lived in the same town; one was rich and the other poor.



(6) *THROUGH THE SCRIPTURES.*

- The Word of GOD is food to your spirit. By reading the Bible frequently, you get to understand the LORD'S will for your life.The more you read GOD'S word daily the more you become a spiritual giant.The more you ignore frequent bible reading the more the desires of the flesh overcome you.

- The word of GOD cleanses your mind from evil thoughts and empowers your spirit.

- Be a Bible reader and train yourself to love reading GOD'S Word on most occasions. It's through the scriptures that JESUS was able to overcome the  temptations of satan. {2Timothy 3:16}

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults, and giving instruction for right living,



(7) *THROUGH PROPHETS.*

- All prophets must be tested to confirm whether or not they are from GOD.

Ignore false prophets and teachers who preach a watered-down gospel of prosperity and they teach on a false twisted doctrine. False  teachers will teach you on grace and motivational doctrines alone and fail to teach on the the need to be holy and righteous and prepare for JESUS coming. Denounce prosperity preachers, denounce false prophets who are wolves in sheep's clothing and they aim at destroying many souls.

- pray that the LORD gives you the spirit of discernment to be able to  detect and run away from false prophets.



(8) *THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT*

- The HOLY SPIRIT is the "still small voice" that always whispers to you anytime you want to make any spiritual decision. Sometimes you want to do something but you feel inside you a conflicting force telling you not to do it, that's the HOLY SPIRIT speaking to you.

- He gives us the messages of JESUS and His will for our lives.



(9) *THROUGH NATURE*

- When we realize that each person has a unique finger-print different from that of others, it communicates to us the wisdom and power of GOD in creation.

- when we realize that the Pacific and Atlantic oceans meet but they never mix, it shows the Creativity of JESUS in creation. All creatures, the oceans, the birds, the fish, the heavens and earth worship JESUS indeed.



(10) *THROUGH PRAYER AND FASTING.*

- When we pray and fast, our minds become clearer to the things of GOD, our spiritual eyes get more opened, our hearts become more sensitive to GOD and this makes our spiritual ears to hear the LORD more.



(11) *BY VOICE*

- when you are sleeping and in your dream you hear a voice giving you spiritual  instructions, that's the voice of the HOLY SPIRIT.

- the LORD can also speak by voice when a person is in deep prayers. GOD THE FATHER, JESUS and the HOLY SPIRIT have all different unique voices.  {1 Samuel 3:10}

The LORD came and stood there, and called as he had before, "Samuel! Samuel!" Samuel answered, "Speak; your servant is listening."

MAY WE BE ALWAYS OBEDIENT TO GOD'S INSTRUCTIONS AND HAVE A CLOSE RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS SO AS TO BE ABLE TO HEAR GOD'S MESSAGES AND HIS WILL FOR OUR LIVES.
Opinion/teaching
